Betsy joined Smithfield after practicing law as a trust and estate attorney for nearly ten years. She came to Smithfield Trust Company from Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C., where she advised clients on trust and estate administration, business succession planning, and charitable planning.
Betsy is a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts and Duquesne University School of Law. Prior to law school, she administered various types of trusts at PNC Private Bank.
Proud to be a native of Wheeling, West Virginia, Betsy currently serves as a trustee for The Linsly School and the W.E. Stone Foundation Inc. She is a past president and member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Betsy resides in Mt. Lebanon with her husband, Mike, and their two children.
