Before founding Smithfield Trust Company in 1997, Bob specialized in trust and estate law for almost 30 years.  As a member of the law firm Buchanan Ingersoll, he served as chair of the firm’s tax section and as a member of its board of directors.  He is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. Bob is a graduate of Princeton University and Vanderbilt Law School.
