María Elba Léon joined Smithfield Trust Company in 2007 with more than 20 years of expertise in investment and estate planning techniques for both domestic and
international clients that includes, but is not limited to, individuals, families, offshore corporations, foundations and charitable organizations. Most recently, Ms. Léon was
Vice President and Senior Trust Administrator of the International Trust Group of the nations’ third largest financial institution based in Florida. She managed over 300
relationships with assets under administration in the high six figures. María Elba attended the University of Arizona, and is a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute,
Pima Community College and the Kennedy Sinclair Institute. She presently attends the University of Pittsburgh. She was named to the World’s Who’s Who of Women and
named Outstanding Young Women of America. María Elba was also featured in Women’s Magazine and received a Presidential Appointment to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
